Float into celestial serenity and lunar mysticism with “Moonlit Traveler”, a progressive metal journey that pays homage to Khonsu, Egypt’s sacred moon god, healer, and protector of nighttime voyagers.
Who is Khonsu?
Khonsu (sometimes spelled Khons or Khonsou) is the moon god of ancient Egypt, closely associated with time, healing, and protection during the night. As the divine child of Amun and Mut, he rides the skies in the moon's glow, marking time and influencing the rhythms of body and spirit.
He was worshipped as a protector of travelers and children, as well as a god of restorative power and divine guidance. His image sometimes appears with a side-lock of youth and a full lunar disk upon his head, marking him as both ancient and eternal.
Khonsu: Moonlit Traveler
Across the sky in robes of blue
I walk the paths the stars once knew
The moon my crown, the night my road
In silver light, the silence glowed
Time unfolds beneath my feet
The dreams of kings, the pulse, the beat
I count the hours none can see
And guide the soul through memory
In every night, a tale I leave
In every wound, the breath to grieve
I am Khonsu — silent guide
The shifting tide, the soul’s dark ride
In moonlight pale, I trace the years
And guard the ones who walk through fears
A traveler’s path, a healer’s song
I’ve walked the stars where gods belong
I watched the pharaohs rise and sleep
Their secrets sung where oceans weep
The jackal bows when I pass near
I mark the time they disappear
Though never loud, my pull is strong
I move the blood, the pulse, the song
In midnight rites, they speak my name
And in the wind, I leave my flame
In every night, a tale I leave
In every wound, the breath to grieve
I am Khonsu — silent guide
The shifting tide, the soul’s dark ride
In moonlight pale, I trace the years
And guard the ones who walk through fears
A traveler’s path, a healer’s song
I’ve walked the stars where gods belong
In temple high or hidden dune
I rise and fall, reborn in moon
My touch restores what grief had torn
The sick are healed, the lost reborn
I do not judge, I do not reign
But guide the soul through sleep and pain
The time you feel, the tide you keep
Are etched in me, the god of sleep
In every night, a tale I leave
In every wound, the breath to grieve
I am Khonsu — silent guide
The shifting tide, the soul’s dark ride
In moonlight pale, I trace the years
And guard the ones who walk through fears
A traveler’s path, a healer’s song
I’ve walked the stars where gods belong
Let shadows fall and dreams begin
For in the dark, the truth walks in
No path is lost beneath my eye
No soul alone beneath the sky
So follow me through time’s long thread
Through silent stars and songs of dread
I am Khonsu, night’s decree
The moonlit voice that sets you free
